Practice

Shane Malone advises clients on complex multistate tax planning and structuring matters, with a particular focus on transactional related state tax issues. His experience includes nexus and exposure analyses, legal entity restructuring, receipt sourcing, carve‑out transactions, and state tax optimization in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, and internal reorganizations. Shane regularly counsels clients on managing state tax risk across evolving business footprints and advises on strategic approaches to audits, appeals, and controversy matters.


Prior to joining the firm, Shane spent more than a decade in the State and Local Tax practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, ultimately serving as a Director, where he led multistate engagements and advised clients on sophisticated planning and structuring initiatives.


Earlier in his career, Shane served as  a legal intern in the General Litigation Bureau of the Nassau County Attorney’s Office.
