Carlos E. Díaz-Wert advises clients on a variety of state and local tax matters, including multistate litigation, audit defense, and tax policy. Carlos is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Prior to joining the firm, Carlos worked in the state and local tax group of a prominent law firm in Puerto Rico. There, he advised clients that ranged from Fortune 500 companies to high-net-worth individuals on a broad spectrum of tax structuring and compliance issues.
During law school, he served as student law clerk for the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico’s Judge Pedro A. Delgado and for the Puerto Rico Supreme Court’s Associate Justice Luis F. Estrella.
He also served as member of the Board of Directors of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review.
