Alex Tsatskin advises businesses on complex state and local tax matters, including multistate litigation, controversy, audit defense, and tax policy.  As both an attorney and CPA, Alex brings a practical understanding of the legal and financial issues involved in state tax matters. 

Alex advises clients on a wide range of state and local tax matters, including sales and use tax matters and excise tax matters across multiple jurisdictions.  His practice includes tax audits, administrative appeals, litigation, multistate advisory, and M&A due diligence.  Alex combines his legal and accounting background to evaluate complex tax matters from both perspectives, with a particular focus on analyzing financial records, evaluating audit methodologies, developing legal positions, and achieving practical resolutions for his clients. 

Alex advises businesses across a broad range of industries, including technology and software, telecommunications, retail, hospitality, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, and other industries.

Before joining the firm, Alex focused his practice at a specialized state and local tax firm, where he advised clients on a broad range of multistate tax matters, including audit defense, administrative appeal representation, litigation, and advisory matters.
